As soon as possible we are looking for shipping clerks (f/m/d) to strengthen the team of our agency department at the locations Stade, Hamburg, Bremen, Kiel and Lübeck.

Your tasks mainly include:

• Clearance of seagoing vessels in German ports
• Organization and supervision of loading and unloading operations
• Issuance of cargo documents
• Representation of the shipowner, charterer and/or operator in the respective port
• Fist contact for terminals, local authorities such as customs and the federal police
• Handling of crew changes, coordination of bunker and deliveries like provisions or spare parts and much more
• Organization of pre-carriage and on-carriage transports in cooperation with HAHN Transport GmbH
• Calculation of port costs for various ship types
• Accounting of port costs and monitoring of payments

Your qualification and skills:

• An completed apprenticeship as shipping clerk (f/m/d) or similar
• Well knowledge of spoken and written German and English
• Relevant professional experience in the described occupational area
• Huge analytical skills and ability to work in a team
• Structured and precise way of working as well as flexibility
• The strength of being able to organize and to promote sales and marketing independently
• Experienced handling of MS Office applications and in common IT systems
• You work independently, meticulously and you are able to deal with stressful situations
• You have excellent communication skills and you are focused on a distinctively customer service orientation
